Change of Program

Change of Program applications are for existing University of Calgary undergraduate students wishing to transfer into another degree program

Applications open Oct. 1

Each year, students may submit a Change of Program (COP) request between October 1 and February 1 for the following fall. The number of seats available fluctuates from year to year, so submitting a request does not guarantee admission.

In another UCalgary degree

Apply through Change of Program (COP) to transfer to the BSW. Change of Program applications are assessed by the Faculty of Social Work.

A current BSW student

A Change of Program is required to declare a minor, add an embedded certificate, or transfer to another degree program. 

A Change of Program is not required If you want to change your program location, contact your Program Advisor to discuss your options.

In Open Studies/Visiting

You are not eligible to apply through Change of Program. Apply for admission to the BSW through the standard admissions process.
