Our Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program equips you with the knowledge and skills necessary for professional social work practice. You will gain in-depth theoretical knowledge, extensive practical experience, and reflective understanding of various social issues. As a graduate of this program, you will be qualified to practice social work across Canada and around the world.
What will I get credit for?
You'll apply to the faculty as a University transfer student.
You'll receive credit for 30 units, including SOWK 201, for your diploma program. You will require an additional 30 units to meet the minimum admission requirements.
All courses required for admission must be completed by the end of the winter term, before the fall term you're applying for.
You'll also need to meet the following requirements:
- Admissibility to the University of Calgary
- English Language Arts 30-1 (high school) or an acceptable equivalent
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale
- Proficiency in English language
