Is an online BSW right for you?
Stay at home
Our Virtual Learning Circle BSW allows you to stay at home while pursuing your education. The program requires you to attend Zoom lectures each week and an annual block week course at our Calgary or Edmonton campus.
Computer & internet access
You'll need reliable and regular access to a computer and the internet. You'll also need to be comfortable interacting and contributing in an online environment.
Right on schedule
Even though the program is online, it still follows the UCalgary semester schedule. You'll begin in the fall with set start and end dates and specific assignment deadlines. You'll take courses year-round, including the spring and summer.
Available for practicum
You must be available to complete your degree with a full-time, 3-5 days a week, practicum during your final semester. We'll help to arrange a field education placement in your community.
Is an in-class BSW right for you?
Weekly, in-person classes
Our in-class BSW program features weekly, core social work, classes, offered in three-hour blocks, on weekdays. Social work options are offered in-class, online, or in block format.
Calgary, Edmonton or Lethbridge
Our in-class BSW is available at our Calgary, Edmonton or Lethbridge campus locations.
