Biography

Julie Mann-Johnson, MSW, RSW is Associate Director of Field Education and Instructor with the University of Calgary, Central and Northern Alberta Region.  She has worked most of her 20 year Social Work career in various areas of child welfare practice.  This experience has led her to be particularly passionate about supporting feminist and anti-racist practice as well as ensuring meaningful kin connections for children and youth within that system.  In addition to kinship care and assessment of caregivers, her research interests also include socializing social workers to the profession, FASD, and community partnerships
