First Cohort Enters New BSW Program, Fall 2024

For the fall of 2024, our faculty is pleased to announce the launch of our redesigned Bachelor of Social Work program. The three years spent developing the program reflect extensive community engagement and consultation, followed by intensive preparation and course design.

Our new BSW features a fully online option, meaning we are welcoming learners from across Canada. Students who prefer classroom learning also have the option of a “blended” degree, with a full day each week at our Calgary, Edmonton or Lethbridge campuses.

While our new BSW is built on the foundation that has made our program a national and international leader over the decades, there’s a lot about it to celebrate.

2023-24 Highlights

Our professional development program was transformed by the faculty’s Reciprocity Project to contain community strategies. New programs, such as the non-profit leadership program look to lay a foundation for systems change through innovation. This new approach looks to empower social and human services professionals through innovative, tailored development, providing them with the skills and tools needed for meaningful change and advancing well-being, sustainability, and social justice.
