What will I get credit for?
You'll apply to the faculty as a University transfer student.
You'll receive credit for 30 units, including SOWK 201, for your diploma program. You'll require an additional 30 units of transferable non-social work courses to meet the minimum admission requirements.
All courses required for admission must be completed by the end of the winter term (end of April), before the fall term you're applying for.
You'll also need to meet the following requirements:
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Admissibility to the University of Calgary
- English Language Arts 30-1 (high school) or an acceptable equivalent
- Proficiency in English language

Note: Two-year diplomas do not qualify for block credit.

You must have a three-year advanced diploma to qualify for a block of 30 units, including SOWK 201. You'll require an additional 30 units of transferable non-social work courses to meet the minimum admission requirements.
