You will attend live Zoom lectures each week, and a 5-day (block week) course each year: Winter 2024 in Slave Lake and Winter 2025 in Lac La Biche.

    SOWK 301 Generalist Practice in Context Portfolio Project (3 units)

  2. Winter

    SOWK 302 Research in Context Theme Course (6 units)
    SOWK 303 Practice with Individuals in Context (3 units)

  3. Spring and/or Summer

    Two SOWK 500-level option courses (6 units)

    SOWK 304 Diversity & Oppression Theme Course (6 units)
    SOWK 305 Diversity & Oppression Portfolio Project (3 units)

  2. Winter

    SOWK 306 Social Work Methods Theme Course (6 units)
    SOWK 307 Practice Skills in Context (3 units)

    SOWK 410 Practicum I (300 hours/6 units)*

* Can be one 700 hour placement extending over two terms.

You must complete all SOWK 300-level courses before the start of your practicum.

Unit: A value, or weighting assigned to a course counting towards a degree or diploma. The term "credit" is also used.
